    The Esplanade Association is proud to be a part of the Boston Athletic Association’s Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program for the 129th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on April 21, 2025.

    The Esplanade is the premier running trail in Greater Boston. Each year, the excitement builds for the Boston Marathon runners who turn to the Esplanade’s riverfront pathways and footbridges as the setting for their training runs.

  • Through June 30 – Sign Up to Run the 2021 Boston Marathon for the Esplanade

    The Esplanade is the premier running trail in Greater Boston. Each year, the excitement builds for the Boston Marathon runners who turn to the Esplanade’s riverfront pathways and footbridges as the setting for their training runs. This year, 15 in-person runners will have the opportunity to support this beloved training route by joining TEAM ESPLANADE.
    The Boston Marathon is celebrating its 125th year and is offering a virtual marathon. You can be a part of TEAM ESPLANADE as a virtual runner too! If you or someone you know is passionate about the Esplanade, we hope you’ll consider running the 125th Boston Marathon on October 11, 2021 or the virtual marathon October 8-10, 2021 as part of the Esplanade Association’s Official Charity Team for the Boston Marathon!   • Sunday, February 10, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Team Esplanade Marathon Fundraiser

    Join supporters of The Esplanade Association at The Point in Boston’s historic Haymarket Square on February 10 from 1 – 5 to celebrate the 15 runners on the Esplanade Association’s 2019 Boston Marathon® Team.

    Your ticket ($25) will include food. You will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win incredible prizes like a stay at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, SoulCycle classes, a gift card to Chestnut Farm, a gift card to Heartbreak Hill, rock climbing passes, and much more! All funds raised at this event will support the Esplanade Association’s 2019 Boston Marathon® Team.

    TEAM ESPLANADE runners will play a part in Boston’s proudest sporting tradition by generously running the 2019 Boston Marathon® in support of the Esplanade Association. Through their passion and dedication, TEAM ESPLANADE will help us maintain and improve Boston’s iconic riverside park—a beloved training route for thousands of Marathon runners each year!
