    The beautiful light of a Martha’s Vineyard summer evening— experience the magic of the Arboretum on this stroll through the Polly Hill Arboretum garden with horticultural consultant, designer, and photographer Patrick Cullina and PHA’s Tim Boland and Tom Clark. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the grounds and “talk trees” with this fun and incredibly knowledgeable group.

    Wine and cheese served from 5-7pm.  Tour beginning at 5:45pm .  Event fee $75/$65 for PHA members, refreshments are included in the price.

  • Tuesday, June 26, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon – Edgartown: The Tree Tour!

    Enough about the distinguished Federal and Greek Revival homes of Edgartown— have you experienced the tree tour?! Join Polly Hill Arboretum collections and grounds manager Tom Clark for this informative and fun walking tour of the many glorious mature trees of Edgartown. In the midst of the mantle of green that envelops downtown Edgartown, the hydrangeas and picket fences, many unique and fine specimen trees await discovery. Expect the famous Pagoda Tree and so much more. Call 508-693-9426 to pre-register and for carpool and meeting location. $20/$10 for PHA members.

  • Thursday, May 10 – Monday, May 14 – Belgium Garden Tour

    Don’t miss this unique opportunity to travel as guests of the Polly Hill Arboretum to the exquisite gardens of Belgium. PHA Board member Philippe deSpoelberch will welcome guests on the first and second day to his private garden and Arboretum, newly opened to the public in 2011! Prices begin at $3000.00 per person (land only). This includes a $1000 tax deductible donation to the PHA to cover staff costs. Note – All prices subject to change based on the currency exchange.

    Tom Clark is a nationally known plantsman and has been our Collections Manager since 2007 and is always ready to share his knowledge and passion for plants. Tom is thrilled to be traveling with fellow garden enthusiasts to share in these wonderful landscapes.

  • Saturday, May 28, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm – Spring into Summer: A Celebration of Plants

    Help the Polly Hill Arboretum in West Tisbury celebrate the seasonal opening of its Visitor Center and plant sale season on Saturday, May 28, from 10 – 2.  In addition to plants for sale, there will be special tours, garden talks, a tree raffle, family discovery tours, and more.  The Artcliff Diner Food Truck will be on hand with food for sale.  Join Tom Clark for a special 9 am early bird tour.  Free.  For more information, log on to www.pollyhillarboretum.org.

     

  • Tuesday, June 30, 10 – 11:30 a.m. – If Trees Could Talk

    Dawn redwood, dove tree, and franklinia are just a handful of the trees growing at the Arboretum with engaging stories of how they secured a place in gardens and in the history of plant exploration. If our trees could talk, they might share accounts of faraway forests, botanical adventures, and intrepid plant explorers. Join Collections and Grounds Manager Tom Clark on a walking tour of the Arboretum where he will reveal some of the fascinating stories behind these and other beloved plants.$5/free to PHA members. 508-693-9426
