  • Saturday, November 17, 7:00 pm – Festival of Trees at Elm Bank

    The Massachusetts Horticultural Society Overseers will present its fourth annual Festival of Trees at the Gardens at Elm Bank from November 23 through December 8, 2012.

    The Festival of Trees at Elm Bank will kick off the holiday season in a special way: by giving families an opportunity to see spectacularly decorated holiday trees in a festive environment. They need your help in tree decorating, tree sponsorships and donations, and/or as a volunteer! You may choose to sponsor or donate a tree, attend or sponsor the preview party on November 17th, donate a gift certificate to the Giving Tree, or you can volunteer your time.

    Friday, November 23 and Weekends : 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Other days: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

    Special Note
    On Saturday, December 8, the Festival will close at 6 p.m. in order to notify the tree winners.

    General Admission
    $8 for Adults, Children under 12 FREE!
    Children ages 14 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Thursday, December 1 – Saturday, December 3, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm – Boothbay Region Garden Club 9th Annual Festival of Trees

    The Boothbay Region Garden Club’s 9th Annual Festival of Trees will take place at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, 86 Townsend Avenue, from December 1 – December 3, 10 am – 5 pm. “All That Glitters” with over sixty decorated trees and other donated items to be auctioned, raffles of two trees and a visit from Father Christmas.  Holiday Shops include: Trinkets and Treasures, Decor Galore, Artists Among Us, Sweets and Savories, The Stitchery, Wreath Emporium, Nature’s Gift Corner, and also Sunday Morning Refreshments.  Visit www.boothbayregiongardenclub.org for complete details.

  • Friday, November 25 – Saturday, December 3 – Easton Garden Club Festival of Trees

    Enjoy an indoor display of decked-out holiday trees at Queset House, 51 Main Street, North Easton, sponsored by the Easton Garden Club.  Hours are November 25, 6 – 9, November 26 and 27, noon – 9, and weekdays, November 28 – December 2, 4 – 9.  The final day, Saturday, December 3, the Festival will be open from 10 – 9.  There will also be a greens sale at the Railroad Station on Sullivan Avenue in the Village of North Easton.  All trees are donated by individuals, local businesses, organizations, and schools.  Many award-winning Easton Garden Club floral designers will participate, including Gloria Freitas-Steidinger, a past President and GCFMA accredited judge, who also holds the distinction of decorating for the White House.  Admission: $5 adults, kids free.  Tree raffle tickets will be available at the door (a sheet of 26 tickets is $8)  For more information visit www.eastongradenclub.org, or email info@eastongradenclub.org.

    Easton Festival of Trees

  • Saturday, November 19, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Festival of Trees Preview Party

    Beginning November 23 and running through December 10, The Massachusetts Horticultural Society will again host the annual Festival of Trees at Elm Bank. The event kicks off the holiday season in a special way: by giving families an opportunity to see spectacularly decorated holiday trees in a festive environment. Tree themes appeal to all ages and all trees are raffled off, with proceeds supporting the mission of the Society.Viewing Days:  Wednesday, November 23 through Saturday December 10 (open Thanksgiving Day).

    Tree Festivals are a boom business these days – The Massachusetts Horticultural Society and Tower Hill Botanic Garden both host them – and now we learn of the 26th Annual Festival of Trees at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, through January 2.  Festive trees are decorated by community organizations, businesses, and schoolchildren, and this year’s theme is the Storybook Forest.  For directions, hours, and more information, call 413-443-7171, or log on to www.berkshiremuseum.org.

  • Thursday, November 20, 6-10 pm – Methuen Festival of Trees Premier Opening Celebration

    The Festival of Trees, an annual event, was begun to fund the restoration of the Tenney Gatehouse. It is a magical event held annually by the Methuen Festival of Trees, Inc., to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season. The Festival is dedicated to the richness and history of our community by developing partnerships with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the City of Methuen, the Methuen Historic District Commission, the Methuen Historical Society, and the people and organizations of Methuen. The proceeds from the Festival of Trees provide funding to preserve our heritage and the monuments that make Methuen so unique.

    Visitors are invited to attend the Festival and view the 200+ trees donated by individuals, businesses, organizations, and school groups from Methuen and several Merrimack Valley communities.  The Festival opens November 21 and runs through December 5 (closed Thanksgiving Day).  Hours vary, so check www.methuenfestivaloftrees.com for a complete schedule.  Admission is $8 for adults, children 12 and under FREE.  Directions from Boston: Take Route 93 N, Exit 46 – go 3/4 of the way around the rotary. Bear right on to 113 W toward Dracut.   • Friday, November 27 – Friday, December 4 – Festival of Trees

    Beginning November 27 and continuing through December 4,  the Massachusetts Horticultural Society will hold its first Festival of Trees. Decorated Christmas trees of all sizes and styles will fill the Hunnewell Building. The trees, all “near real” will be decorated by a myriad of groups, societies and clubs. There will be a “Trustee’s Tree”, a “Volunteer Tree”, a “Master Gardeners” Tree, a “Garden Club” Tree, “Children’s Trees” and many, many more!  For further information, log on to www.masshort.org.
