  • Tuesday, August 23, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Josiah Dennis Manse Flower Show

    The Village Garden Club of Dennis will present the Josiah Dennis Manse Flower Show on Tuesday, August 23, from 10 – 4, at the Josiah Dennis Manse, 77 Nobscusset Road in Dennis.  Visitors will enjoy an assortment of floral arrangements and horticulture displays, provided by members of the garden club.  Admission is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted to benefit the club’s community initiatives.

  • Saturday, July 16 – Sunday, July 24, 12:00 noon – 10:00 pm – Handwork

    The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc, and the Southeastern District present “Handwork” a standard flower show at the Barnstable County Fair,  Fair hours: July 16 -24 , 12:00 noon – 10:00 pm.  Cost: Fair Admission ($10 adult, $8 Seniors and Military, Children under 12 free).  The Barnstable County Fair has been an annual summer tradition on Cape Cod for 164 years.   • Wednesday, May 25, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm – C’est la Vie!

    The North Shore Garden Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, presents C’est la Vie!, a Garden Club of America Flower Show, on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Willowdale Estate, Bradley Palmer State Park, 24 Asbury Street in Topsfield, Massachusetts, from 1 pm – 5 pm.  The show is open free of charge to the public.  Founded in Manchester, Massachusetts in 1915, the North Shore Garden Club’s priorities are education, service and protecting the beauty of Essex County’s natural resources.     Art in Bloom at the Fitchburg Art Museum will take place Friday, April 15 (12 noon – 4 pm) and Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17 (11 am – 5 pm). Log on to www.fitchburgartmuseum.org, or call 978-345-4207 for more information.  Fitchburg Art Museum is North Worcester County’s oldest and most treasured cultural institution, founded in 1925 through a bequest of artist and educator, Eleanor Norcross. Fourteen galleries house a diverse collection of American and European paintings, prints, drawings, ceramics and decorative arts as well as Greek, Roman, Asian and pre-Columbian antiquities. In addition, the Museum organizes temporary exhibitions of works from other museums, private collections, and emerging and established contemporary artists.

  • Friday, October 22 – Sunday, October 24, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm – A New England Journey: A Standard Flower Show

    Through the art of floral design, Garden Club Federation members of Central North and Central South Districts will trace New England’s literary and cultural traditions in a standard flower show at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, 11 French Drive, Boylston, beginning Friday, October 22 through Sunday, October 24, from 10 – 5.  The horticulture division will highlight the best plant specimens from our New England landscape.  For more information, log on to www.towerhillbg.org.

  • Friday, June 25 – Sunday, June 27 – Safari Flora & Fauna

    The 2010 Newport Flower Show will take place at Rosecliff from Friday, June 25 through Sunday, June 27.  Tickets may be purchased at www.newportmansions.org.  The Opening Night Cocktail Party will take place from 6 – 9 pm on Friday, although the show itself opens at 10:30 am that morning, closing at 5 pm to ready itself for the benefit gala.  Hours on Saturday and Sunday are 9 am – 5 pm.  Bartlett Tree Experts are the Presenting Sponsor.  All proceeds from the Newport Flower Show are dedicated to the ongoing restoration and maintenance of The Preservation Society of Newport County’s 88 acres of gardens and landscapes.

  • Saturday, April 24, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, and Sunday, April 25, 10:00 am – 4:30 pm – 36th Annual Daffodil Flower Show

    In connection with the previously reported Nantucket Daffodil Festival, the Nantucket Garden Club, Inc. (member of The Garden Club of America), in conjunction with The American Daffodil Society, Inc., will host the 36th Annual Daffodil Flower Show on Saturday, April 24, from 2 – 5, and on Sunday, April 25, from 10 – 4:30.  The title of this year’s event is Island Lights, and the show organizers encourage entries in horticulture, arrangement and photography.  All entrants are encouraged to use www.daffodilusa.org for assistance in identifying specimens.  For more information, contact Sally Nash at 508-228-4912, or email sally@Polpis.com, or Mary Malavase at 508-221-2093, email mmalavase@comcast.net.  No admission charge.
