    For over two decades, the Nichols House Museum has organized and hosted the Beacon Hill Holiday House Tour. With a brief hiatus during the height of the pandemic, the event has been a highlight of the Boston holiday season.

    This December 11 event from 12 – 4 offers the public a rare opportunity to experience a select group of remarkable private residences. Each year, the tour showcases outstanding examples of historic preservation, as well as creative modern interpretation and adaptation in a broad range of architectural and interior design styles.

    The Nahant Garden Club’s Songs of the Season Holiday House Tour Saturday, December 7, 2019 will feature 10 Nahant Properties dressed in their finest Holiday Décor by The Nahant Garden Club Members.   • Saturday, December 14, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Sippican Woman’s Club Holiday House Tour

    The annual Holiday House Tour is the principal fund-raising activity of the Sippican Woman’s Club. All proceeds from the House Tour go towards scholarships to Marion students pursuing bachelor’s degrees. For more than 30 years, Marion’s homeowners have generously opened their homes to the Tour. Until Tour Day (this year on Saturday, Dec. 14), the list of houses on the Tour is kept secret from all but a few. The Tour begins at Handy’s Tavern, proceeds to several local homes selected for special historical or architectural interest, and ends with the hospitality of the Sippican Woman’s Club at the Tea held at the Parish Hall of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church (2 to 4 pm). Houses are open from 10 am until 4 pm.

    Ticket prices:   advance $20 each, day of Tour $25 each

    Advance tickets may be purchased in Marion at the General Store, and Serendipity by the Sea and in Mattapoisett at Isabelle’s in the Ropewalk or by mail (send a check for the total amount to: Tickets, Sippican Woman’s Club, PO Box 121, Marion, MA 02738). On Tour Day retrieve your “Will Call” Tour brochures or purchase your same day tickets at the Coldwell Banker Realty office next to Handy’s Tavern.

    The Garden Club of Harwich invites you to tour 6 Harwich homes and the recently restored South Harwich Meeting House decorated for the holidays! The event takes place Saturday, December 1 from 11:30 – 4:30. Locations will be sent upon purchase.   • Saturday, December 1, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Concord Museum Holiday House Tour

    On Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven of Concord’s most beautiful private homes will be professionally decorated in the holiday spirit by local and Boston-based interior designers.

    Guests will be welcomed inside the front doors of these gracious, private residences to visit the charming ground floor rooms. From Colonial to Victorian to Shingle Style and more, each house will be decorated in a different holiday theme.  The Concord Museum also welcomes you to spend the day in Concord, a small town with a big history, to enjoy the elegant streets, charming cafés and shops, and the many historic homes. The Guild of Volunteers organizes this event as a benefit for the education initiatives of the Museum.

    The Nichols House Museum invites you to explore Season’s Greetings: Highlights from the Rose Standish Nichols Postcard Collection, a pop-up exhibition specially curated for the 2018 Holiday House Tour. Additional information on this exhibition is forthcoming.  The Holiday House Tour generates financial support for the Nichols House Museum’s ongoing preservation and programming needs.
